WEDDING HAIR & MAKEUP

Does Annie Shah and her Team provide mobile service?


Yes, Annie and her Senior artists offer a mobile service and they will travel to you on the day of your booking whether it is your home or venue. The only time you will need to come to see Annie at her Studio in West London is when you book a bridal trial appointment with her.




How soon should i book Annie for my Wedding?


Annie gets booked up very quickly and as this can be as far as 18 months ahead of wedding dates. We would recommend that you book as early as possible after securing your wedding date and no later than six months before the wedding.




I'm getting married in a few weeks time, will Annie be available?


We recommend that you get in touch with us ASAP and we will check to see if your date is free. Sometimes we do have late bookings available at short notice.




Do i need a trial before my Wedding Day?


As Annie is highly experienced and she has been in the wedding business for over 12 years, most of our brides do not feel the need to book a trial. Plus, Annie Shah offers a free of charge phone/video consultation for all booked brides so they can discuss their looks and requirements with her before the big day. However, if a bride feels the need to get a trial done then that can be arranged at an additional cost. All trial appointments are pre-booked and take place in our studio based in Chiswick, West London. We request brides to bring their outfit picture with them and also any images of hair and makeup looks that they like to their trial appointment. Please allow two hours for the trial appointment as this will allow plenty of time for a consultation and hair/makeup application, and any 'tweaking' if needs be, such as changing lip colour or adding more blusher etc. Once the look is agreed upon, we will take photos, make notes of your hair and makeup so we can easily re-create your look on the day.




Does Annie offer Bridal Hair and Dressing too?


Yes, Annie Shah provides a fully comprehensive service to the brides which includes Hair, Makeup, Dressing, Jewellery Setting and Scraf Draping.




What hygeine precautions do you take?


Our makeup kit is cleaned regularly. All makeup brushes are cleaned and sanitised after each use. We don’t blow on to the brushes, and where possible we will use stainless steel spatulas (always sanitised) to decant cream makeup products such as foundations and lipsticks.




How do i book Annie?


Please get in touch with us via phone or email or filling out the contact form on our Contact page. You will need to provide us with your wedding date, time to be ready for and the location where you need to get ready.
We will then check availability of your date. If the date is available, we will send you the full quote and other details of the bridal package. Once you confirm you wish to proceed with the booking, we then send you a booking invoice for the 50% deposit payment via bank transfer along with our terms and conditions. As soon as we receive the deposit payment, we will confirm your booking and the date will no longer be available for another client.




What method of payment do you accept?


We accept bank transfers and payments in cash. International clients can also pay via Paypal and Western Union; cheques and credit cards are NOT accepted.




Which makeup brands do you use?


Our makeup kit contains a wide variety of luxury and high-end products which we have selected over the years based on their longevity, flawless coverage and photographic qualities. Our makeup kit contains the following products amongst others: Estee Lauder

Our kit also contains High Definition products to help create a ‘soft focus’ effect on the skin to help disguise fine lines and imperfections resulting in a radiant complexion so ensuring that makeup application is camera ready.




I have sensitive skin, will your products be suitable for me?


The majority of our makeup products are hypoallergenic and are compatible with most skin types. However, if you have a very sensitive skin or a particular condition, then we highly advise you to provide us with some of your products (such as moisturiser, primer and foundation) that you have tried and tested and work well for you.




How long will it take for Annie to do my bridal hair and makeup on the day?


Your bridal hair and makeup application time vary depending on the look you go for. On average, a traditional Asian Bridal look will take anything from two to two and a half hours including dressing and scarf draping. Wedding reception, civil/registry and any other pre-wedding looks will take roughly one and a half to two hours.




How far can Annie and Team travel for bookings?


We are based in West London, and as such most of our bookings are local covering Central London, Greater London, Middlesex, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Surrey, Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas. But sometimes we travel much further in the UK, so it is worth enquiring. For Destinations Weddings, however, there is no travel limit, and we have provided services in over 14 countries covering five continents so far.




What are your charges for Destination Weddings?


For destination weddings, in addition to our standard fees, clients will need to pay for direct flights, airport transfers and accommodation with breakfast.




When do i wash my hair for the Wedding Day?


We ask all brides to wash their hair the day before the event and do not apply any hair products and let it air dry or blow-dry. Blow drying your hair beforehand is highly advisable if your hair is very curly and frizzy. Please note that we do NOT offer blow-dry service and only style dry hair. For any reason, if you do need to wash your hair on the day, please ensure it is bone dry before the booking.

Where do you ship to?


We offer FREE Shipping to UK & Europe. Please ensure that the correct address details are provided on your order in compliance with the postal requirements of the recipient country. Incorrect information can result in packages being returned & we are unable to resend without an additional postal fee.




How long will my order take to arrive?


UK & EUROPE 10-21 Days Our orders are mostly handmade and made to order so they will take 2-3 weeks to arrive. Most orders delivered well within the given time frame. Once the order has been shipped, you will get an email with a tracking number which you can use to track your item. Please allow a couple of days for the tracking information to become available as it is sometimes not available right away. If UK & European customers do not receive their order within 45 days for any reason then they are eligible for a full refund.




What if i want to return my item?


We have a generous 14 days Returns Policy. In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return the items to us within 14 days of receipt of order and we will be happy to offer you a full refund minus any postage costs, providing the goods are returned in unused perfect condition and in the original packaging. Please note we do not offer exchanges. To return your product, you should write us an email at info@annieshah.com with the order no. We will then send you our UK warehouse address where you need to mail your product back to us.




How do I take care of my Jewellery?


All our Jewellery is crafted to the highest quality to ensure that it keeps its shine for as long as possible. However, as with all jewellery, there are things you can do to help maintain your item for as long as possible. Using a soft lint free cloth, periodically wipe your jewellery. This will keep your jewellery looking shiny. Ideally, store your Trendyz purchases in a dark, cool and dry place within an airtight box or bag to help reduce scratching and tangling. Try not to expose your jewellery to perfumes, lotions or any acidic liquids, as this may cause the plating to fade over time. Our gold plated jewellery is water resistant and will not tarnish. However, we would advise removing all jewellery while in water and avoid extreme temperatures. Please note, plated jewellery may naturally fade over time. This is not a fault and can be avoided by caring for your jewellery as detailed above.




What payment methods do you accept for online shopping?


Credit/Debit Card Payments We want to make your online shopping experience as easy as possible and so we accept the following payments. We are happy to accept most major credit/debit cards and including Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express and Delta.
PayPal PayPal is a fast, safe and efficient way to buy online. To pay using your PayPal account, select PayPal from the list of payment options in the checkout. Please be aware, that you will be taken to the PayPal site to complete your purchase.
